The new Fabia and Roomster GreenLine unveiled

Škoda Auto unveils its second-generation GreenLine models for Fabia and Roomster. New technology further reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels.
Following-on from the launch of production of the face-lifted Fabia and Roomster, Škoda Auto has unveiled the new Fabia Combi GreenLine and Roomster GreenLine – the second generation of its special line of environmentally-friendly GreenLine models.
The new GreenLine models have been face-lifted to correspond with the basic line and, more importantly, fitted with new technology designed to further reduce the fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels. The most important innovations include a new engine (1.2 TDI CR DPF/55 kW) with Common Rail (high-pressure direct injection), Start-Stop, braking-energy recovery and gear recommendation (on a Maxi DOT display).
One of the biggest technological changes in the second-generation GreenLine version is a new three-cylinder supercharged engine (1.2 TDI CR DPF/55 kW) with a consumption of just 3.4 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 89 g/km for the new Fabia Combi GreenLine and 4.2 l/100 km and 109 g/km for the new Roomster GreenLine.
Besides lower CO2 emissions, the quantity of other contaminants has also been reduced. The new engine complies with the EU 5 emission standard that, in the category of diesel engines, is stricter primarily as far as nitrogen oxides and solid particles are concerned. The gear ratios of the car's five-speed transmission are identical with those of the ordinary Fabia and Roomster models fitted with the same engine. Furthermore, the new GreenLine offers the same responsiveness with lower consumption.
The key benefits of the Start-Stop system stand out in busy city traffic. The system comes on automatically, right after the engine start. If, after some time, the driver stops the vehicle, engages neutral and releases the clutch pedal, the engine switches off automatically. As soon as the driver presses the clutch, the engine comes on immediately. This way it is possible to save 0.2 – 0.4 l/100 km (combined) or 0.3 – 0.9 l/100 km in city traffic.
Braking energy recovery is another state-of-the-art technology coming with the new Fabia Combi GreenLine and Roomster GreenLine. Effective utilisation of the vehicle's kinetic energy for battery recharging is a simple system that helps to save fuel continuously, as a series of small quantities. Just like with the Start-Stop system, it is the first time that the energy recovery system is used in a series-production Škoda. The two systems are complementary and, along with other measures, help to make the operation of these new models as environmentally-friendly as possible. The application of the energy recovery system has helped to reduce the CO2 emissions by 2 - 4 g/km.
Other technologies devised to improve the economy of operation include the gear recommendation system that helps the driver in making optimum use of the engine's potential, a lowered and aerodynamically covered chassis and, last but not least, tyres with a low rolling resistance tread.
Eğitimli insanlar topluma borçludurlar. Bir işin nasıl yapılabileceğini biliyorken bir başkasının yapamadığını görüp susmaları kendilerini yetiştiren o topluma ihanettir.
